Founder and Governing Official
Rev Rita Marie is the Founder and Governing Official of the Bancroft Centre for Awakening Spiritual Growth. Rev. Rita is Deeply Spiritual and has spent her life feeling the presence of Spirit. She explored many different spiritual paths, but it wasn’t until she began the study of Metaphysic that things began to fall into place. When she took her oath as a Metaphysical Minister, she knew she would continue her path of learning about Universal Spirit through teaching and helping others.
The Bancroft Centre for Awakening Spiritual Growth was born on February 2, 2007, in her living room. It was then Incorporated as a Not-for-Profit Church in October 2007 and has continued to grow its Ministry ever since.
As part of the Centre’s 12-year journey, we became the Canadian Representative for the University of Metaphysics and University of Sedona in 2016.
The Centre also became recognized by the Provincial Government as a Metaphysical Ministry. Rev. Rita Marie is dedicated to supporting the Ministers of the Spiritual Centre. Rev. Rita Marie offers the Ministry Program through the Meta-Spiritual Teaching Centre.
Rev. Rita facilitates Spiritual Gatherings every Wednesday night between 7 and 8PM. on Zoom.
Rev. Lisa Dales

Rev. Lisa has spent the majority of her life studying religiosity, philosophy, meditation, mediumship, and energy healing in pursuit of her own personal path to the Divine.
In 2013 Rev. Lisa was ordained with the Bancroft Centre for Awakening Spiritual Growth. Following her heart, she continues to serve grieving families as a Celebration of Life Officiant.
Rev. Lisa became involved as a Hospice volunteer and also worked with palliative patients and the elderly in the role as a personal support worker. She is certified in Palliative Care and G.P.A. Rev. Lisa completed her studies in Thanatology through Centennial College and has completed the End of Life Doula Program through Douglas College. She endeavours to provide support and to advocate for those individuals and their families who are facing end of life. She is a member of the Death Doula Ontario Network.
Rev. Lisa teaches the Ministry Program at the Meta Spiritual Teaching Centre and sits as Vice-President on the Board of Directors. She assists Rev. Rita Marie in the management of the Ministry and by leading Spiritual Gatherings in Lakefield, Ontario and on Wednesday evenings on ZOOM...
Rev. Lisa is an inspirational speaker and facilitates meditation and women’s circles, solstice ceremonies, and workshops. She is enrolled in the Masters Program at the Metaphysical University of Sedona.
