Rev. Rita Marie
Rev Rita Marie is the Founder and Governing Official of the Bancroft Centre for Awakening Spiritual Growth. Deeply spiritual, Rev. Rita has spent her life feeling the presence of Spirit. She explored many different spiritual paths, but it was her study of metaphysics that truly aligned her journey. Upon taking her oath as a Metaphysical Minister, she committed to continuing her exploration of Universal Spirit through teaching and supporting others as spiritual teachers.
Founded on February 2, 2007, in her living room, the Bancroft Centre for Awakening Spiritual Growth was incorporated as a not-for-profit church in October 2007 and has since expanded its ministry.
As part of the Centre's 12-year journey, we proudly became the Canadian Representative for the University of Metaphysics and University of Sedona in 2016, further solidifying our role as a recognized metaphysical ministry by the Provincial Government. Rev. Rita Marie is dedicated to nurturing the Ministers of the Bancroft Centre for Awakening Spiritual Growth, with Ministerial Training provided through the sister program of the Meta-Spiritual Teaching Centre.
Every Wednesday night from 7 to 8 PM, Rev. Rita facilitates spiritual gatherings on Zoom, inviting all to join in the shared exploration of spiritual growth.
Rev. Lisa Dales
Rev. Lisa has dedicated a significant portion of her life to studying religiosity, philosophy, meditation, mediumship, and energy healing, all in pursuit of her personal path to the Divine. In 2013, she was ordained with the Bancroft Centre for Awakening Spiritual Growth, where she continues to follow her heart by serving grieving families as a Celebration of Life Officiant.
Her commitment to helping others led Rev. Lisa to volunteer in Hospice, where she worked with palliative patients and the elderly as a personal support worker. She is certified in Palliative Care and G.P.A., and she completed her studies in Thanatology through Centennial College. Additionally, she has finished the End of Life Doula Program at Douglas College and recently completed the Emotional Health Practitioner Program at Trent University. As a member of the Death Doula Ontario Network, she strives to provide compassionate support and advocacy for individuals and families facing the end of life.
In her role as a spiritual teacher, Rev. Lisa teaches the Ministry Program at the Meta Spiritual Teaching Centre and serves as Vice-President on the Board of Directors of the Bancroft Centre for Awakening Spiritual Growth. She collaborates with Rev. Rita Marie in managing the Ministry and leads spiritual gatherings on Wednesday evenings via ZOOM.
An inspirational speaker, Rev. Lisa facilitates meditation sessions, women’s circles, solstice ceremonies, and various workshops, all aimed at fostering spiritual growth. Currently, she is enrolled in the Masters Program at the Metaphysical University of Sedona.
